The resistance training in this program is focused around multi-joint compound movements, supersets, and circuits, which have many benefits for fat loss. These styles of resistance training help increase muscle mass and overall muscle tone, this in turn stimulates an increase in metabolic need during and post exercise. A single resistance training workout can increase/speed up one's metabolism for 24-48 hours as the body works hard to recover and repair muscles.
